On Stage KS8191 Double Braced X Style Keyboard Stand Review

On Stage KS8191 Double Braced X Style Keyboard Stand
Average Reviews:

It was very easy to assemble. It is a little wide for the Casio PX-130 88-Key Digital Stage Piano. Folds up easily for transport or storage. The adjustable height is great using the keyboard a different heights.
Since the height adjustment knob is only on one leg, on carpet it seems to be higher on one side than the other. On the lowest setting, the pin didn't lock in completely and the stand collapsed with the keyboard falling to the floor. I wish the height adjustment was on both legs and the spring in the pin was stronger.

I bought this for my children to use with their keyboard. It is ready-assembled and fairly sturdy - perhaps a little on the small side for a large adult, but great for my children aged 9 and under and ok for me (I'm only 5'4)
Nice bench for the price.

Yamaha WB2 Padded Wooden Bench for the Yamaha DGX505 and DGX620, Natural Finish Review

I am disappointed in the bench as the wood color does not match the stand color for the Yamaha keyboard. There is quite a bit of red in bench wood color and no red in the stand color.

Stay comfortable and relaxed while playing your digital keyboard with this Yamaha WB2 bench. Specifically designed to match the DGX505 keyboard but appropriate for a variety of digital and acoustic pianos, the bench is furnished with a thick padded seat and a strategic air vent in the cushion. Combined, the padding and vent support your bottom over long periods while protecting the seat filling from wear and tear. The bench is tough and attractive, too, thanks to its light-grain wood finish and sturdy wooden legs. In fact, its elegant design looks great in everything from Victorian to modern living rooms. It's a particularly good choice for users who value both comfort and portability, as it measures only 22.5 by 19 by 13.75 inches (W x H x D).
The bench comes disassembled but comes together quickly and easily thanks to the included four bolts and assembly tool.

It's been a month and I don't find any issue with it. I am about 190 lbs heavy.
The only potential issue is some edge is sharp, not round so it might be an issue for a baby practicing stand ups, however i don't think this is a problem in normal situation.
The bench would have been perfect if it had a room to store stuff underneath - I couldn't tell this when reading the product description.

This is a good solid piano bench and is not cheap looking. It looks surprisingly good with my electric piano. It's sturdy enough for large adults. I studied most of the piano benches offered on Amazon and read most of the reviews before deciding on this one, and have not regretted choosing it. I just wish I could store some music inside of it.

I'm petite so I'm delighted that this stool has 6 options for height adjustment. I was able to get it high enough for me. The padding is soft and comfortable to sit on. It's light enough to carry around. I also like it that it can be folded away for storage if I ever need to. It is also stable enough, though I wouldn't recommend rocking on it or standing on it.

On Stage KT7800 Padded Keyboard Bench Review

On Stage KT7800 Padded Keyboard Bench
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
On Stage sell two benches that are easy to confuse because they have similar model numbers:
KT7800
Adjustable height: 18.75", 20", 20.50"
Weight capacity: 300 lbs.
Seat: 12" x 17"; 2" cushion
Weight: 11.5 lbs.
KT7800+ On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench
Adjustable height: 19", 21", 23", 25"
Weight capacity: 360 lbs.
Seat: 12.5" x 23.5"; 3" cushion
Weight: 14 lbs.
This one (KT7800) is a no-frills basic bench. Each leg has 3 holes for the pivot bolt. Height is adjusted by removing the pivot bolt and reinstalling it with two washers through a different pair of holes. This is not difficult, but if the intent is to adjust it several times a day for different members of the family, I'd choose a different style. The advantage of this design is once you set the height, it remains until you intentionally change it.
One side of the scissor base is permanently attached to the seat with brackets that allow it to pivot; the other side fits into 2 c-shaped brackets. To keep the legs from collapsing when you lift the bench off the floor, you hand tighten a bolt across the opening of each c bracket whenever you set it up; the bolts have plastic knobs. This works fine for most applications. But if I were assembling half a dozen of them several times a day, I'd prefer a single lever latch.
The larger KT7800+ has a different design for adjusting height, best understood by going to the onstagestands web site and entering "KT7800+" in the search box. While there, you might also want to take a quick look at the KT7800; Amazon often displays the wrong photo for this bench.
For home use, I'm happy with the KT7800. It's sturdy and comfortable, utilitarian in appearance with decent workmanship (China), folds for storage or travel, sets up and adjusts easily without tools. Cushion is a bit soft -- maybe too soft for playing guitar or other hand-held instruments. A good value.

Williams Matching Padded Piano Bench for Symphony Digital Piano Review

Williams Matching Padded Piano Bench for Symphony Digital Piano
Average Reviews:

This bench does not have storage underneath like most other piano benches. There is absolutely no information available about this feature in the item description. I called the merchant to ask, and even tried the manufacturer's website, but nobody had the answer. I had to order it just hoping that storage was included. Of course, when the bench arrived, I was disappointed to see that it had no storage underneath.

On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench Review

On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The legs remove completely from the bench by squeezing in two pins on each arm of the "X". There are knobs you can tighten to hold the pins in, which is handy because otherwise it would require a lot of hands to set up the bench.
I would not recommend this bench if you plan to set it up and take it down frequently. The rails on the bottom of the bench are too close together on mine and that makes one end very difficult to remove. It also takes a bit of fiddling around with both ends to ensure all 4 pins seat in the holes in the bench rail. If you were in a hurry it would be easy to only wedge the unit together and have it collapse when you sat down.

Yamaha LP5A Sustain Foot Pedal for L85 and L85S Digital Pianos Review

Yamaha LP5A Sustain Foot Pedal for L85 and L85S Digital Pianos
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a Yamaha P85, so I also bought this pedal unit for it. Any semi-advanced pianist who either wants to use the soft and sostenuto pedals or just wants to upgrade from the basic sustain pedal that comes bundled with the keyboard should check this set out.
Here are some things that are good:
Stability: Along with the stand, this pedal system is solid, both in connecting to the stand and improving the overall stability of piano. It doesn't move around when connected to the stand and when you press down. Also, you don't have to worry about the pedal shifting around all the time under your feet.
Realistic physical arrangement: This is pretty obvious, but having the addition of three pedals makes the digital piano feel more lifelike. These pedals are spaced just like a real grand pianos, and don't move around.
Effects: The sostenuto works pretty well. It actually creates the effect that a real sostenuto pedal should create. It probably is just electronically simulated, but it works for me. Plus, most players rarely need the sostenuto pedal. It's nice having one anyway, though.
Adjustable height: When you first attach the system, you can raise or lower it. This is useful because it allows you to adjust the height so it is like your real piano and fits comfortably.
Visually appealing: Although real pianos usually don't have gray pedals, these pedals blend in well with the rest of the P85, and make the piano overall better looking.
Half-pedal: The sustain pedal gives a half pedal power. You can fine tune how sustained a note is on a real piano by adjusting how hard you press down with your feet. Half-pedal capabilities on this aren't perfect, but they're still a good feature to have if you're a talented pianist.Cons:
Touch: The pedals on this system don't feel like the pedals on a real piano to your feet. They feel a bit too tight to press down, and the springs under them make it harder to control release and pressure (a problem to advanced players).
Construction of pedals: Although the rest of the system is built pretty solidly and well, the pedals themselves are made out of plastic, further contributing to the touch problem. They don't feel as realistic than the heavy but fine bronze pedals on most real pianos.
Perfection: A lot of things with sound could be a bit more perfect. The soft pedal could be a bit warmer than just softer. The sustain could be grander and deeper, not so shallow. Also, it would be nicer if the sustain pedal had a wider range of depth for the half-pedal feature. Yamaha could have paid a bit more attention to designing the feel of the pedals and construction in order for them to be more realistic.
Overall, these are suitable pedals for a beginner or slightly advanced player. If you're a professional or looking for a truly realistic set of pedals, you should look elsewhere. Perhaps the next generation of pedals from Yamaha will be better!

On Stage KS7150 Table Top Keyboard Stand Review

On Stage KS7150 Table Top Keyboard Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had been kicking myself for about 2 years, because I purchased an electronic keyboard with intentions of our son taking lessons in the future (he was only 2-years-old when we bought the keyboard).
I bought this stand hoping that 1. It would be sturdy enough to hold a full, 88-key, Casio Previa 100 easily and 2. Would be able to hold up to a 5-year-old, who has the tendency to kind of lean on tables and put his weight down on everything.
As soon as I opened the box, I was pleased. The stand "looked" sturdy and well made, but proved to require no assembly, just unfold, adjust the width and voila!
My one concern came to a screeching halt as soon as I put the keyboard stand in place. My one reservation was that if the angle of the legs were 45 degrees, that it might topple over easily. Keep in mind, I've got a 5-year-old running about and things get banged into. He is my live-in durability tester. However, all of my fears were put to rest in a matter of moments. I put the keyboard on the stand and noticed that the legs jet out at the sides just a bit, so there's no concern of the stand being knocked over to the side.
I do have to say that my stand is always stationary and is against a wall. I cannot really say how it would fair in another environment, but for our specific uses, it's absolutely perfect.
